ABOUT THE EDITION

The Soundvision Song Contest 01 was the inaugural edition of the competition. During the 1st Meeting of the 20 debuting nations in the competition, a random draw was made to decide each one would host this edition. On 15th November EBU announced that Spain (RTVE) will host the 1st edition in Madrid.
